> Galae is an ethical, open-source email hosting service operated by Algoo, a French software
company. It offers two distinct products: collaborative Business Email
(unlimited mailboxes and domains, shared calendars and address books, webmail) and SMTP Relay
(transactional email delivery). Both are hosted in France, fully GDPR compliant, and priced on
usage (not per-seat). Galae provides self-hosting control without the operational burden.

Galae is developed and operated by [Algoo](https://www.algoo.fr), a French open-source software
company founded in 2015, independent of any external financial investors. The name "Galae" 
stands for "Gestion Autonome et Libre d'Adresses Email" (Autonomous and Free Email Address 
Management). All infrastructure is exclusively hosted in France, subject only to French law 
and GDPR.
